The TF Showdown at Dome Valley Raceway was a
great cap to an amazing 2009 sand drag racing season. Ruben Rodriguez from
Crazy Photo Squad sent us some great shots from this event. Let’s take a look
at some of the highlights from the event through Ruben’s photos.
Matt Ludlow took home the TF Showdown title running a best of 2.37 for the weekend.
Shane Sanford entered TF with his TA Dragster & came home with a great runner-up finish running a 2.41 along the way, just .01 away from the TA World Record.
John Cadzow was the #1 qualifier in TF with a track record 2.313 on Friday afternoon.
Dennis Rieck had a great weekend with the Hammer Down TF Dragster qualifying #2 with a 2.35, then making it to the semi-final round before breaking on the starting line.
Jeff Janoe roasting the tires in qualifying. He qualified #5, however he couldn't get hooked up in round one against Shane Sanford.
Marcus Norris ran a personal best over the weekend with a 2.58 in qualifying.
Terri Blair ran her best pass with the dual-tire Fugowie dragster so far with a 2.59 in qualifying, however parts breakage took her & the team out of action for the weekend.
The TA Final Round with Billy Morris (Far Lane) taking the win over Lori Ketron on a hole shot 2.67 to 2.66.
The TE Final Round saw Paul Taylor (Near Lane) defeat Mike Erwin with a great 2.962.
Brian Chapman brought his new Short Fuse Dragster out and christened it with a Fast Fours class win running a best of 2.90 along the way.
Steve Anthony was the bracket killer over the weekend winning both Pro 1 & Pro Sport.
Jim Williams raced his wife Kathy in the Pro 2 final round. The pictured racer gives a hint as to who was the winner.
Tiffany Brock won the Motorcycle Pro 1 category on Sunday.
Tiffany's dad, Mike Brock was the winner in Motorcycle Pro 2.
Craig Durning finished as the runner-up in the Pro 1 class to Steve Anthony.
Aaron Mamer made his first passes in his dad Jeff's Sidewinder Fast Fours dragster at the Dome Valley event. He ran a best of 3.18.
