The 2010 sand drag racing season is in its home
stretch with just a handful of events remaining on the schedule. NSDN is
heading this weekend, October 15-16 to Little Sandy Raceway in Grayson, KY
for the Show Me The Money race. There should be a good contingent of Midwest
racers heading to Kentucky
to compete for the great purse that is on the line. Our next stop will be Dome
Valley Raceway in Wellton, AZ October 23-24 for the October Showdown.
This event will be highlighted with several Top Fuel cars coming out to test
along with a great contingent of heads-up and bracket class entries. These two
events should provide some great action, so stay tuned as we finish up October
on a high note with two great Daily Race Coverages.
In November,
NSDN is heading to Kingman,
AZ for the Napa Racing West Coast
Winternational Sand Drags at the Mohave County Fairgrounds on November 5-7.
This race looks to be a great close to the 2010 season with a huge turnout
anticipated for the Inaugural race at this venue. The Route 66 Wings & Wheels
as well as Fast Track Racing organizations are putting forth a great effort to
make this a big end of the season event and are well on their way to doing just
that.
In September/early October, we covered events at Ionia Sand Drags in Ionia, MI
and Thunder Valley Sand Drags in Grain Valley, MO. Both events put on a great
show, and judging by the site traffic were very popular to our readership. I’d
like to thank the Moreland’s and Hauser’s for all of their hospitality at Thunder Valley as well as the staff for their
help with race results and info. This certainly is a great track in Missouri with a lot of
hook and definitely plenty of shut down for the fastest our sport has to offer.
Gregg and the Ionia Sand Drags crew also took care of us at NSDN and set the
stage for great day of racing. This track was hooking as well with many
personal best ET’s and tight competition on the track. Atoka Motorsports
Park held their annual
Fall Fest recently, and NSDN would like to thank Derek Howard for all of his contributions
of results and news from Atoka’s events. He is always willing to help and makes
sure we have all of the info to keep our readers updated.
NSDN would like to thank WSM Auctioneers for coming on board as a site sponsor.
John Cadzow, of Cadzow Motorsports, operates this auction company based in Phoenix specializing in
the sales of Construction Equipment, Utility Trucks, Light Trucks,
Equipment Trailers and Recreational Vehicles. Please take the
time to click on WSM in the right tool bar and see what WSM has to offer. As
you have noticed, we have added some of our partners to the right sidebar as
well over the past couple months, including the Pro Truck Nationals series and
Lone Star Graphics. These groups are great entities and big positives in the
sand drag racing world. Be sure to support those that are out for the
betterment of this great sport we are involved with. NSDN offers very
reasonable rates to advertise on the right side bar of NSDN and is currently
offering the rest of 2010 for FREE with a 1 year full season Standard ad for
the 2011 race season. Contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
