The 2nd Annual AZ vs. CA Top Fuel Shootout is complete with AZ coming out on top in the Top Fuel class. Both finalists hail from AZ as the Coldwater Kid Team of Matt Ludlow faced off with the Pat Norris Racing entry driven by Marcus Norris. Ludlow would lay down Low ET of the weekend with a 2.308 en route to back-to-back victories at this event. The Pro Outlaw FE class was a huge success with Washington’s Carey Mahoney making the long haul pay off by taking the victory. He also ran Low ET of the weekend for the class in the final with a 2.82. Gary Mink was another huge winner taking the Top Alcohol class & setting a new World Record with a 2.369 in the final round. The Short Fuse Racing Team with Brian Chapman ran a string of low 2.8’s to take the Fast Fours title. 2 Dolla’ Bill, Billy Morris kept up his winning streak with an excellent win in the Top Eliminator class, defeating Tim Martin in the final round. Bracket winners on the day include Steve Foster Jr. (Pro 1), Chris Adamson (Pro 2), Jim Clark (Pro 3), Garrett Ratliff (Motorcycle Pro 1 & 2), Marc Whitmore (3.5 Index), and Ryan Rodriguez (Junior Dragster). *Run Sheets are now posted. - 1/26*

Day 1 of the 2nd Annual AZ vs. CA Top Fuel Shootout at Dome Valley Raceway is complete. Matt Ludlow in the Coldwater Kid Top Fueler leads the pack into race day with a 2.392/139mph blast. Gary Mink once again topped the Top Alcohol class running a 2.452. Carey Mahoney is the leader in the Pro Outlaw FE class with a 2.90 in his Big Time Altered. The Fast Fours class will be led into race day by the Short Fuse Team and Brian Chapman with a 2.88 run. Yabba Dabba Doo Terry Crawford ended up as the top seed in Top Eliminator with a 2.96. Winners on the day include Steve Anthony (Open Pro), Mike Brock (Motorcycle Open Pro), Phil Soper (Sportsman Car), Mark Ratliff (Motorcycle Sportsman), Evan Thomas (Kids), and Jaisyn Wolfe (Youth). *Video Highlights will be online later.*
