The Dirt 300 @ NAPA Speedway in Albuquerque, NM hosted the 3rd Annual Quick 32 event in late August. This event was held at the new NAPA Speedway location for The Dirt 300. Charlie Fegan and his crew have built a top notch permanent sand drag facility alongside the Oval Tracks & Road Course at this Motorsports Complex. The heavy dirt led to some great bracket racing with the best from Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado doing battle. Read on for the full recap and photo galleries.

The Pro Open category saw some great cars battling it out at The Dirt 300. As the dust settled, the final round came down to Texas racer Roy McGlohon against local asphalt racer Wendy Riesland in her Orange Crush Dragster. Wendy was racing on the sand for the first time and found her rhythm after using a first round buyback. These two racers lined up with $1500 to win going to the Winner. Roy would use a .04 starting line advantage and 4.388 (4.36) to take the big check back home to Texas. Another class full of action was the Pro Open Quads category. It would be a diverse final round with the two-wheeled Motorcycle entry of Henry Alvidres lining up against the three-wheeled entry of Mike Pruitt. Pruitt had made it look easy en route to the final with great RT’s and consistent ET’s. But in the final, it would be all Henry Alvidres as he used a .187 RT and 5.159 (5.04) to take the $1500 Winner’s Check home. Other big winners on the weekend included Monty Ross (Trophy 4x4), Mike Eberhard (Trophy Quad/Bike), Travis Brown (Juniors), and Christopher Segura (Youth).
