The 16th Annual Heartland Nationals at Atoka Motorsports Park wrapped up on Sunday with some excellent on track action. Marc Luce piloted his brand new Lucas Oil Dragster to the Top Alcohol class win over Ted Lirones running Low ET of the weekend in the final recording a 2.747. Courtney Stidham kept up his winning ways with the Twisted Dragster taking the Top Eliminator class final round win over Terry Glasscock 2.99 to 2.97. Bob Ramlow put his Strictly Business Altered in the PTN 3.5 Index Winners Circle taking the final round win over Keith Ahart. John Pate dominated the ATV Bracket/Index classes taking the win in the PTN 3.95 Index Pro ATV and Pro 1 Quads categories. Madd Draggin’ Racing (MDR) was dominant in the PSDA categories as their riders took home three victories. Other winners on the day included Steph Bennett / Rigger Racing (PSDA 3.7 Index), Danny Mathews (Pro 1 Cars), and Buddy Hammett (Pro 2 Cars). **Run Sheets & Sunday Highlight Videos are now posted.**

The 2014 Heartland Nationals at Atoka Motorsports Park continued on with hot action on Saturday as Qualifying wrapped up in most classes. Marc Luce held on to the top spot in Top Alcohol qualifying with his Friday 2.77 pass. Terry Glasscock jumped into the #1 qualifying position in TE with a 2.972 in the final session. He ran the exact same ET as Courtney Stidham, but Terry got the tie breaker as he had the higher MPH on that pass. Stephanie Kimbley leads the PTN 3.5 Index class into race day with a 3.505 ET to lead the Qualifying Order. The PTN 3.95 Index Pro ATV class is incredibly competitive this weekend with Krista Loudermilk taking the top spot in Qualifying with a 3.967. James Martin leads the way in the PSDA 3.7 Index class recording a 3.74 while Landon Holmes (PSDA Three-Cyl Unlimited) and Trey Williams (PSDA Twin 650+ & PSDA Twin 0-650) lead their respective classes. The winners of today’s bracket classes were Rick Lovelace (Pro 2 Quads), Bobby Kincaid (Pro 3 Quads), Jera Davidson (Pro 4 Quads), and Brayden Hamer (Peewees). The 16th Annual Heartland Nationals will conclude on Sunday with eliminations action.

- Ted Lirones ran Low ET of the day with a solid 2.83 in Q3.
- Marc Luce recorded a 2.90 in Q3, then kicked out the burst panel in Q4 running a 3.03.
- The Michigan-based 3 car Goodale team is down to Ted Lirones as their only hope for the victory as Pat Goodale and Brett Gilberson’s cars are done for the weekend with engine damage.
- The Sunday final round will be between Marc Luce and Ted Lirones.

The 16th Annual Heartland Nationals at Atoka Motorsports Park in Atoka, OK is underway with chamber of commerce weather greeting racers form across the country. Marc Luce stole the show in the Top Alcohol class recording a 2.770 on the first full pass in his brand new Lucas Oil Dragster to lead the Qualifying Order. Texas racer Courtney Stidham leads the Top Eliminator class after Friday’s Qualifying turning in a 2.972 on the 2.95 Index. Arizona’s Kenny Hayes drove his new ride to another win as he took the Quick 16 Cars class over Wyatt Fomby. The Quick 16 Quads class came down to an all Madd Draggin’ Racing (MDR) team final as Jeff Patterson took the win over Trey Williams. PTN Head Honcho Buddy Hammett put the Mid-West Coatings S-10 in the Ironman class Winner’s Circle over Kalin Nagorski. Qualifying continues on at the Heartland Nationals on Saturday.
