It’s amazing that fall is just around the corner. It seems like just yesterday that this site was launched and I was writing this first column. You may have noticed that this month’s issue of NSDN came out a little later than previous issues. Starting in September, we will move back the issue launch to the first Tuesday of each month. This should help us bring the best sand drag racing coverages and features to you consistently at the same time each month. We will also continue posting results and news on a daily basis, bringing you instant information from the world of sand drag racing.

Also, you will notice some new features to the site popping up over the next couple months. The first of the new features is the NSDN Video Library, which consolidates all of the video featured on NSDN into a single place. Another new addition is Video of the Week. This will be found on the Photo of the Week page for now, but will eventually migrate to its own page. Photo of the Week will see some changes down the road, but I will tell you that there will be no more slacking on this section as it will be updated every week. On the subject of photos and video, readers are more than welcome to submit their best photos and video taken at the races. Feel free to send them to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We are also looking a few racers that are willing to write about their experiences at and on the road to the race track. I can be contacted at the email address above if you are interested.

The biggest sand drag race of August looks to be the Gravelrama event in Cleves, Ohio. This event should be even bigger with the recent announcement of the addition of several 2WD classes to the event. In the past, all 2WD vehicles had to race heads-up in one class. Other sand drag tracks racing in August that we should have coverage from include Atoka Motorsports Park, Thunder Valley Sand Drags, Dome Valley Raceway, and West Michigan Sand Dragway.

With all that said, there still is a lot of racing left in 2007. NSDN has special advertising packages available for the rest of 2007 as well as open same day coverage advertising slots for some of the big events ahead. For more info on this, feel free to email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.

Stay tuned in to NSDN for the latest in sand drag racing news. Until next month….
