The 2015 SCSDA Season Finals at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA produced some of the best sand drag racing we have seen all season long during eliminations on Sunday. The highly competitive Top Eliminator class came down to the Top 2 all season long in Billy Morris and Paul Taylor with Billy taking the win & the SCSDA TE points championship in a great race decided by just .008 at the finish line. The Fast Fours put on a great show at Victorville with Robert Skidmore taking the final round win over Mario Tavares recording a strong 2.82 in the final round. Travis Scouten did a great job piloting the Last Call Jeep to the Pro 1 class victory. Charlie Johnson nearly completed the weekend Triple on Sunday as he backed up Saturday night’s Pro Gambler win with a Pro 2 class title defeating his brother Wes in the final, but he would come up one round short as Jim Larr got around Charlie in the Pro 3 final round. Robby Stancliff was on his game in the Motorcycle Pro 1 category and turned on the win light over Chris Carlson. Randy Mings kept up his winning ways by taking the Motorcycle Pro 2 class victory over Robby Stancliff, who nearly doubled up today. Drake Montgomery was the winner of the Junior Dragster class. Saturday was a big day of racing for the 2015 SCSDA Season Finals at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA. Robert Skidmore laid down a huge pass in the final Fast Fours qualifying session with a great 2.75 ET to hold on to the top spot in that category. Billy Morris used a last ditch effort in Q4 to earn the #1 qualifying spot in Top Eliminator with a great 2.959 on the 2.95 class index. Pedro Villa ended up as the lone entry in the Top Alcohol class and has laid down some solid passes, including a best of 2.67. The bracket classes put on a great show during Day 2 at the Season Finals. Kenny Hayes nearly had a sweep as he won the Sportsman 1 class early in the day before earning a runner-up in the Pro Gambler. It would be the ultimate gambler himself Charlie Johnson, who got by Hayes in a great final round using a .003 RT for the win. The day’s big winner was Mark Ratliff as he took both the Motorcycle Gambler & Motorcycle Sportsman 1 class victories on the day. Caleb Mings made it back to back Motorcycle Sportsman 2 victories, backing up his win from last month’s Victorville race. Bob Schaefer did a great job piloting his VW-powered Buggy to the Sportsman 2 victory over Jeff Adamson. Racing wraps on Sunday with eliminations in the Heads-Up and Pro Bracket classes.

Day one of the 2015 SCSDA Season Finals at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds wrapped up with Qualifying session #1 for the heads-up classes. Paul Graham came out on top in Top Eliminator with a 3.020 on the 2.95 class index. Robert Skidmore ended up #1 qualifier in the troubled Fast Fours session as he recorded an early shut off 3.56. There was plenty of great test and tune action throughout the day from the bracket class entries. Saturday will see qualifying sessions for the Heads-Up classes as well as Eliminations in the Sportsman & Gambler categories.
